My compass doesn’t work after reassembly.

Hey all, I have attempted my first reassembly on an iPhone ever, on my personal iPhone X 64GB. I have done successful screen replacements pretty often. But not on the magnitude of doing a full housing replacement. And keeping track of all the screws. Following many tutorials on competing this “correctly.”

(I know to use some type of double sided adhesive and number all of the screws. But desk space was limited and I didn’t own double sided tape either. I have a container but that has a limited amount of spots.)

After reassembling most of it all I went into making sure ear speaker was working and the screen was functional. I screwed in the rest, applied the adhesive and closed the screen to the housing. Thinking all is good. Later i checked compass. And it was stuck at North absolute 0. No budging at all.

I checked if it was settings and it was not. The gyroscope is working as I can rotate the iPhone and it goes into portrait and landscape flawlessly.

I’m not sure if its a magnetized screw in some location on the logic board where the “compass sensor” is located. I need a diagram and where the chip is located. Any suggestions will help.
