Kubota Z122e runs and mows then dies.

My mower will start up and run and mow but then about 15mins later it dies almost like it's not getting fuel. When I try to crank back up the mower acts like it has dead battery and i have to jump it in order to start again. I have rebuilt the carb, changed lines, it does NOT run rough at all. Any suggestions? Could a bad battery be causing my problems?

Hi @draco8690 ,

Have you checked the “state of charge” of the battery using a Voltmeter?

On p.48 of the owner manual it shows that a reading of 11.6V DC indicates that the battery needs to be charged (has 0% charge) and 12.6V DC is fully charged, (100%)

If it is flat maybe it is faulty but also maybe it is not being charged when operating

Check your fuel tank vent in the cap. If it is not venting correctly, as fuel is used a clogged vent will prevent air from entering the fuel tank and thus form a vacuum and starve you engine out until it sits for a while and air seeps back into the tank thus allowing fuel to get to the engine again.
