My laptop dosnt work without the charger
I bought a second hand Rog laptop the battery appeared in the being as charging but now the laptop dosnt detect a battery and the charging led flashes after a while of it being on the guy supposed replaced it but it was over heating too and be added what looked like a block of thermal paste on and it was cooking it self so I don't trust him should I replace the battery or what? Anyone else having this issue also the battery when detected didn't work either

Adding thermal paste to the casing of a battery pack is worthless. So either you have a malfunctioning battery or malfunctioning charging circuit. You can buy a new, known good, battery to see if the malfunction disappears or spend a few dollars to get the situation analysed by a competent repair shop.

Oh sorry no I didn't add it to the battery no it was on the cpu and gpu it was a block of sorry I know it won't make a difference to the battery I wouldn't think of that and I thought about the battery just didn't wanna spend money for a risk but gonna have to
