stuck on press home to upgrade

Hi, My touch ID and home button had been broke a while, ''''this was making my battery drain really quickly, i read online if you factory reset the device you can set up without touch ID and this can help the battery problem, But since doing this i set up the phone, connected to WiFi, and began to put my data from iCloud on, Because I did not use touvh ID i had to set up a passcode, I then was brought to a screen saying ‘press home to upgrade’ it shows the assistive touch button is on the side of the screen but I cannot use it, its as though it is frozen, I plugged into itunes and i cannot connect as it says enter passcode to use iphone but there is no way I can do this, I am just stuck at this screen:( PLEASE HELP

The assistive touch button  can only show up if you set it up in settings

This cannot be the reason your battery draining quickly

If you change the Home button or it is damaged yout never be able to use the touch ID again has it is match (married) to the logic board A new home button will work has a Home button but you will have no touch ID

If you cannot enter you passcode then it is quite possible your screen is faulty

It is difficult to understand what information you are looking for by your question

Maybe you have more then one question

Can you please expand

hi, thanks i know this is very vague, The screen is fine, I factory reset the device, I went to apple store yesterday and the guy at the genius bar said the battery draining could be from the touch ID as it is looking constantly for a fingerprint and cannot find it thus draining the battery as the chip underneath is faulty, this is no longer the main issue, My phone is stuck on a white screen that says press home to upgrade, I have set the language, selected a wifi network, and set a passcode and even set up my icloud account, I cannot press home as the button is completely broken, the box for the assistive touch is visible near the bottom right of my screen, But clicking it does nothing, I need to somehow get off this screen

Power off the phone and power it up again If you cannot do then open the phone and disconnect the battery. Connecct the battery and power up see what happens then

@edigitcom I am able to power off the phone, i had tried this and still at the same screen with nothing that can possibly be done

When you say nothing can be done what do you mean

Can you open apps etc

There is nothing like that, it is literally just a white screen and at the bottom in black is says 'press home to upgrade' and i cannot press home as my button does not work and the assistive touch icon is at the side of the screen and clicking it does nothing at all
