I have an Imac model A1419 , has a broken front glass , I would like to just replace the front glass is this possible I can not find the glass that will fit my model , the LCD assembly ( lm270wq1 ( sd ) ( F1 ) is very expensive and would rather replace just the screen if possible. if it is can you provide a part number thank you

The display is bonded to the glass with UV LOCA glue. Unless you know how to do this and have the equipment and experience, you will need the assembly.

I have done this before on smaller scale with tablets and cell phones. I like to see if the glass can be replaced, I have not much to lose and a lot to gain.
So if it is possible how do I get the glass is there a part number?
Sadly, the cover glass is not available as a separate part
You would need to salvage it from another display. This would be extremely difficult!
Here's one option which is as cheap as you can get for a display for your system: iMac 27" LCD Display Panel & Front Glass Assembly (12/13) Grade-C, Apple P/N 661-7169 or 661-7885
@danj The OP may be able to get a TAB failure display for the glass - it may even be cheap or free if the owner wants it gone. My concern is if phone experience will translate well to the iMac display.
There is no need to be nice to a junker display - as long as it's intact after glass removal.
@nick - Getting the good glass off it very tricky without breaking it. A iPhone or iPad glass is smaller and easier to pull off, size has its disadvantages.
@danj That's what I was afraid of. This is on par with iPhone X back glass - you need to mess up before you master it.
