Why does the breaker trip when I engage power

about 2 weeks ago the breaker began to trip occasionally when i would hit microwave power - but now as soon as i hit power the 20 amp breaker trips - the light and fan does not trip the breaker. the capacitor checks out fine but i am unfamilar with the other components

Short (sic) answer, malfunctioning component(s) drawing to much current therefore you electrical panel trips the breaker to protect the house wiring and prevent potential fire hazards. (The breakers are not there to protect your microwave or other appliances, fwiw) See for more details:
