1 Newly installed lightning connector does not charge
I just installed a new ifixit lightning connector assembly but the phone does not charge. I openedit up again and everything looks solid and properly attached. Any thoughts? Seems unlikely the part would be bad, but maybe? This is my second try, installed one from Amazon last week and it charged fine but the antenna was lousy and then the speaker and mic crapped out! I’m concerned that the more times I open it up and detach and reattach things, the more problems there’ll be. Maybe it’s just time for a new phone?
Time for a voltage level check on pins 1 and 5 of the connector. See what kind of voltage level is on the battery. Use a multimeter to do the checking.

@dss1209 Yes a qualified repair shop will be able to do this. Cost wise only you can determine whether or not it's worth it. :-)
