Red light blinking near viewfinder

My fujifilm instax mini 9 is blinking red light near the viewfinder. At that time the light settings dont blink. But when i switch it on the second time , red light near viewfinder comes on for a milisecond and light adjustment dial shows the correct setting but when i take a picture it comes out black. I have wasted 12 pictures like this. I tried putting a new pack of film. Didnt work. Tried putting new batteries. Still didnt work. Please tell me a solution. I feel like i wasted my money on this camera
