Siemens dishwasher - water drains only after slightly moving hose

The dishwasher works fine, but sometimes the water does not drain after the cycle finishes - i have the bottom part uncovered and if i gently move the hose, the water drains completely and fast, no problem. Pump has been replaced very recently just to test if it was that - it was not. Interestingly, moving the hose during the cycle also results in the water being pumped out correctly at the end.

The dishwasher is clean, there seems to be no debris or foods stuck anywhere, all dishes are rinsed before use. Any help would be appreciated.
