Canon Pixma MG2455 cannot be put in service mode
My printer is stuck. Obviously, some counter must be reset. I found the software “Service tool v3400.exe” but it must be executed while the printer is in Service Mode and I don’t know how to do it with this model…
When you say it's "stuck", what exactly do you mean? What makes you think a counter needs resetting? It's unlikely that any counter will expire unless it's been heavily used for a number of years. It might then decide a waste ink absorbtion tray might be full. I have some experience of the MG3550 and I'm not aware that it has a user-accessible Service Mode.

Hi Philip, thanks for replying. "Error 5B00" displayed on printer properties panel + 7 alarm light flashes on the printer... Nothing explicit on Canon literature but plenty of similar experiences on tne net. I cannot print anymore (nor use the scanner!). Yes, it has been used for many years, I've cleaned the ink absorption tray and pad. Full cartridges.
