MacBook Pro was left of the charger overnight (not that that will have a major effect). It doesn’t seem to power on, the screen is black with no signs of turning on.
The sleep light no-longer flashes instead just stays lit, Cap lock light doesn’t come on.
When powered on there is no response after the optical drive noise.
Please Help, greatly appreciated.

Lets try this…
Follow this guide to Step 4 MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012のバッテリーの交換 Once the battery is disconnected press and hold the power button for a good long minute. Then plug the battery back in and then the MagSafe power cord plugged in. On the left side of the system with the ports at the very front is your onboard battery checker press the button do you see the very tiny Green LED’s? Are they holding steady? Are most of them lit?
Now let try restarting the system - Any change?

The first thing I would try, is disconnect the battery and leave it for about 30 seks and connect the battery again.
If that does not work, I would try with a different charger and make sure it the correct charger for you Mac (not an 45w air or similar)
