Where is the backlight inverter located on this laptop
I want to replace the backlight inverter for model number pcg-61611L but don’t know where it is located

The inverter itself is held to the back of the lid (behind the mounted screen position) by a sticky surface, probably two sided tape, given Sony's love for taping things in this model. The whole inverter unit can't weigh much more than an ounce and is easy to replace.

Albert, I think this computer is lightly different from the one you posted. On this laptop when I take all the screws out and bring the monitor down, the only thing I see on the inside is a long board about 2 inches wide and pobably 14 inches long. The video cable connects to it. I know that some some inverters are about 6 or less inches that are under the bevel in the center but there is nothing there on this compute. If there is a way I could send you a picture of it.
