Why is my photo off center?

This question actually pertains to the instax mini 9; however; a page for the mini 9 does not yet exist and the mini 8 and 9 are similar enough so I figured that this would be okay. So my pictures are off center from a distance. When standing about a couple meters away from the subject, with the subject centered in the viewfinder, the resulting Polaroid is severely off center, with the subject in the bottom left corner of the photo. I was wondering if this could be an issue with the batteries dying or if this is an issue with the auto focus that needs to be fixed. This problem started after a new pack of film was put in, starting with the first photo taken with the new film.
