What should I do to fix my water damaged phone that won't turn on?
[go to bottom for question to skip the summary of what happened ((which i guess is not that important))]
So I know this problem is entirely my fault. I was at a pool party with a few friends. I got pushed into the pool and my phone fell in. It was in the deep end; about 8 feet. I couldn’t retrieve it because I was unable to see where it is. Finally when I saw it, I had to go get goggles and get the phone out. Finally when I got it out, the phone had probably been in the water for a good minute. I just dried it off with a towel and didn’t overthink it and continued with the swimming. Because I had no prior knowledge of what to do after dropping my phone, I didn’t even power it off completely. After a while (about an hour) I went to check a few texts, and the home button was completely clicking on its own. I just brushed it off because I thought it would go away. After the party ended (about 3 hours after initially dropping my phone) I realized my phone wouldn’t turn on. I kept on trying to power it on during the way back home, but now I realized after searching for solutions that it would push the water even further. Then I stupidly decided to try to shake the water out and that obviously didn’t work. When I got home and researched I realized my phone was basically a lost cause. I asked my mother about it and since I am still not old enough to work or earn any money, she said she would not be buying a new one.
Basically I was thinking; if I removed the screen and replaced the logic board and battery with new ones, would my phone be working again?
Or should I clean the corroded logic board and replace just the battery?
If yes; what else should I clean or are those the main components that let the phone work?
^Are those solutions even possible?
Please help me; thanks :D!
