does replacing screen fix touch screen?
So the phone is pretty badly smashed but half of the touch screen still works, the other half just has coloured lines down it. If I replace the screen will that make the full touch screen work again?

This part replaces the entire assembly - both the LCD and digitizer (as well as the camera and earpiece). So, if you buy the part from iFixit, it will also make the full touch screen work again.
