I get the same experience with my Samsung S10 + phones and when I am using the TouchPad on my HP laptop. Feels like continuous electric shock through my hands and fingers. Very uncomfortable

さんによる

I have same problem too. Any solution

さんによる

When My fingers get cold & numb they ache.if I use my iPhone or iPad the screen zaps them like little shocks of electricity from a bad wire. It hurts more.

I’ve also had magnets stick to my left chest just above my heart. Had a magnetized name badge while working in catering at a college, drove me nuts to wear it on my left side. It always stuck to my chest. Making my clothing look wonky. I’ve also had 13 brain surgeries at base of my brain from cyst that forms in my spinal cord & brain stem. And a heart attack at 45. Often wonder if magnets effected my heart since they stick to me right above my heart. I think Reynauds causes achy fingers I’m not sure why electronic screens electrocute my cold numb aching fingers & thumb.

さんによる

Does anyone have a solution to using an IPad with a protective case? S I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? My job depends on a solution.

Thanks in advance.

さんによる

It's probably experiencing "leakage current" from the wall-wart supply. It can be on the order of 50 to 70 volts; not electrocution level but not good. Us a AC voltmeter to measure between what you are touching to earth ground. Or to a chair or furniture where you are sitting. I wouldn't be surprised if you see voltage across those surfaces. If you do, try another wall-wart power supply. It's not really that dangerous unless you were standing in water in your bare feet. Ben Franklin would find this very interesting.

Add your own "ground" to the outer case of the laptop or tablet just to see what's going on. Set the metallic portion of your device on a piece of aluminum foil and ground the corner of the foil to a faucet or the metal side of an appliance. If the problem goes away, you have leakage current through the frame of your device. Get a different power supply! These supplies are built under very suspicious quality control for next to nothing, so don't be surprised that leakage current is high.

I get this sensation from everything electronic. It’s normal that replies to posts like yours will say “that is not possible,” but it is. I get it from corded and cordless mice, cell phones, iPads, all keyboards, all laptops. Charging, disconnected, grounded, not grounded. I haven’t tried grounding myself or discharging static electrcity as if starting a sensitive repair. I’ve seen posts in various online forums by other people with this odd and unpleasant problem, but never an explanation. To the best of my knowledge, it started in 2015. FWIW, I used to get a burning hot sensation inside my temple when talking on a cell phone. I don’t hold them anywhere near my head anymore.

I hope it’s not too late to reply I am really freaked out as when I hold my iPhone I get tingling and burning sensations so I presumed it was my phone. The sensation gives me nausea also. While getting upset about having to change iPhone. I noticed it happens with tv remote controls. During finding out I’ve been to the doctors about it because when I type I get sharp pricking sensations in the end of my finger. I also keep getting hot spots under my skin. For those who will say it’s not possible well it’s happening to me. I’ve had an electric shock before this all started if that is of any relevance. I’ve scouward the internet to find an answer putting up with the bad sensations to find an answer but soon I will have to give up the items in question anyone got any ideas how to live without them? X

さんによる

Amber, the same thing is happening to me. Happens with remotes as well. I just googled it and come upon this comment from you. I just don’t know what to do either. I notice for me it comes and goes

さんによる

@rphoenix have any of you found a solution or explanation. I work in media and this is underbeable.

さんによる

I have no clue. I keep looking it up. I’m afraid to go to the doctor because they usually minimize it or think it’s a psych issue. Some days I don’t feel it at all and then tonight I can hardly hold my phone.

さんによる

@elcrashitan did you have any dental work done in 2015? Especially amalgam fillings?

To anyone ending up here looking for answers that explain various sensations from cell phones to magnets, you may have developed a sensitivity to allergenic metals. If you have tingling burning fingertips as I have or visible skin discoloration then you should see a doctor before applying to be an Avenger. Yeah, I'm disappointed too.

I can sense AC EM fields through my fingertips. If I ground myself or remove the AC source (like laptop charger) they go away. If my hand is still I can't feel them. It is only when I move my fingertips around over the energized object that I can feel it. What I understand it to be is the 50Hz frequency of the AC source.

さんによる

When you move your hand, it changes the ohmic conduction into your hand because of oils and dirt on the surface. What you are probably experiencing is what is called "leakage current" from the AC power supply plugged into the wall. Unplug the supply from your device and the tingling sensation should go away - no more leakage current. (This can be measured with an AC voltmeter between the device and an earth ground).

If you ever sense this on anything electrical, please fix the problem. This could lead to a serious electrocution issue if something like a washing machine were to fail while you are standing in bare feet or touching another grounded object. Please beware.

I have felt electronics my whole life. I have always had a knack for “fixing" everyones anything really. It would be broken and they would just hand it to me and more often then not It would end up just working. Lol. Recently, since right before the pandemic both my hands would go completly numb to where I couldnt move them. They would hurt bad at the same time. Anyways, now I seem to be able to sense anything electrical. You all are going to think im crazy but I also feel like I can hear from crazy distances away but in my mind I hear them. Example: ill be walking along and hear like someone saying something like hey, look at that guy! He is a &#@! Hahaha…….so I hear this in my ear mind and go, %#*@, lay off the weed. Then from where I “heard" this people will come walking by. It just happens too much to be a stoner thing. I swear I think I am turning into real life X-men!! Whos coming with me man! Whos coming with me! Jan!

So how do you guys use your phones. I changed my iPhone X to and a iPhone XR thinking it was my phone that was broken and giving off electric. I’ve been using a stylus for a month now and my fingertips are still black from the burns. Anyone found a solution, WiFi doesn’t seem to affect me just phone.

i have tried every case possible, literally spent over £2000 on new phones, cases, screen protectors. i have a had a test for carpal tunnel syndrome and it wasn't that. Ive tried everything. Seems better when its on airplane mode but i don't know if that's in my head or not.

I've been aware for many years, of something odd & alarming when using my laptop. Both my thighs would experience an uncomfortably & sometimes painful tingling burning sensation. I have now been left with a numbness to my thighs.

When I got my smart phone I started to feel the same sensations to my hand. This has got really troublesome now that I'm using a 5G smartphone. When I have it on charge & use it it worse. I have seen a documentary about such a phenomenon but can't get any answers from GP…

My problems have resolved 100%.

I faced the same issue when I tried to use the Apple Pencil as a stylus. Fingers would tingle, then burn, then if I persist, start going numb. The burning persists for days even if I stop using the device(s). At one point I was using a Bluetooth mouse for a few weeks and tried to persist through the burns. Bad idea. Ended up losing my fingerprints after like 2 months. I stopped all contact with active styluses and stopped actively touching capacitive screens and the problem resolved fully in a few months. I have stopped touching my phone or iPad capacitive screens and even stopped holding them. I keep them propped up on my table on stands and use a passive stylus to use them.

The voltages used in your iPad are not very high and besides its not wired in a way that can get a complete circuit.

Please don’t do this! It’s an example for reference!

If I only touch the live side of the power feed cord and I’m completely insulated from ground the circuit can’t complete so the power won’t flow. If holding that cord and I touch a neutral or ground wire or tie point I would get a very nasty zap!

Here, the iPad is not wired to a charger or have any other means to complete the pathway. While the case is metal it only has one side of the circuit, touching any part of the case or the display won’t complete the circuit to the apposing pole of the circuit.

I get tingling in my fingers when i touch certaIn metals, batteries and magnets. I am 59, and this started about 3 months ago. No one I know has this happen, nor have they heard of this.

I have smelled fluorescent tubes, and occasionally dimmed/ switched on street lights when I walk pass. During a highly charged period of my life I've unintentionally blew up many halogen bulbs at different locations, even when traveling. My hands/ feet are warmer than all family members.

I don't care much for doing anything with mobile phone, and do intensive tech related works on my desktop PC. Regardless, no wrist or finger Carpal Tunnel issues. Recently I replaced my 4yo Samsung with a new Samsung. Bouts of app installation frenzy, to my surprise, my index finger felt tingling pain, as if it's been pricked by a tiny needle. So I did a Google search, it seems some people are even more sensitive to touch screen electric current - they feel pricked in real time. My "finger burn" is delayed.

The only difference between my old Samsung and this new one is, the new one is capable of power-sharing/ charging other devices.

NFC charging = a new problem for the highly conductive people?

さんによる

It started a few weeks ago. The hypersensitivity on right hand fingertips. Not as severe on my left hand The skin discoloration on finger tips being red then lighter as area grew. Ok now here is where it gets weird Thin plastic will melt on my whole hand where I can peel it off but it constricts and releases I’m guessing from heat I cannot put

U hand down in between leather couch cushions. It attracts hard plastic chips which hurt me plus the electronic voltage increases and hums louder and really hurts The same thing with change or beverage holders in car in center console. One other. Freaky thing my right can swipe any surface including skin and it fill my hand with what feels like electric cotton. I I can move something metal or a battery without touching it. Lots more

I have been incredibly sensitive to energy all my life, both with electronics AND even in certain parts of the world were I found most leylines converge. There are even times when I feel surging in my leg only to find there is a insulated corded cable plugged in directly under my feet, or even covered with some insulated plastic or covering.

I also had experiences in college where I would touch any non-conductive object (stone, wood, etc) and get a shock from it. The doctor at the time chalked it up to change in atmosphere (which I get) but it just happened so many times in different areas that where either dry or wet.

People never believe that I am hyper sensitive to this and REFUSE to us any wireless/Bluetooth devices on my body. It wasn’t until last night when I was using my Apple Pencil that I started to feel a numbing tingling sensation in my thumb. I was 90% complete with the drawing I was working on and thought I could push through it. It has since been a full day and it hasn’t subsided.

On another note, I have worked on the bleeding edge of technology most of my life, and about 50-60% percent of every computer, table, laptop, electronic has had some issue brand new out of the box. My parents always questioned whether I am a highly conducive or not.

For what it's worth, I started experiencing a slight tingling/numb sensation in my index finger shortly after upgrading from a Samsung Note 8 to a Samsung S10e. I decided to try a Note 10 and the same sensation persisted. I went back to my Note 8 and it got better. I decided to try an experiment after having an idea. I went back to the Note 10 but turned off bluetooth. I've been using it for a few days and so far it seems to be not causing me any issues. More time will tell.

I'm not sure if it is something they changed in the bluetooth or if my EM sensitivity just isn't being tripped because the emissions from my phone are lower with that feature disabled and its not enough to trigger a response. Hopefully this works because as much as I love my Note 8, it is quickly becoming outdated. I'm also really liking the Note 10. Perhaps try experimenting with your electronics as well where you disable some of the EM producing features and see if that helps.

I rarely use the Bluetooth on my phone. This sensation occurs with all devices that I used that have either a touch screen or touch pad. My laptop, my Ipad, my Samsung S10+. It is really annoying

I Google the same thing and created an account just to say that I am experiencing the exact same as everyone - tingling hands when holding my new S22 (5G). This didnt happen at all with my S10 (4G). It could be due some extreme sensitivity to EM when using my phone since after reading this post, I turned off my Bluetooth and immediately felt a difference, it almost even sounded different... as in the EM wasn't turned up so high. But again, yes, I relate to most here in what you're feeling and I hope there's a solution or that manufacturers can stop increasing unnecessary exposures and levels on their technology.

I also suffer. It started when I began wearing a Fitbit Tracker which tracks your physical activities, heartrate & sleep quality. Tingling static began on my left hand where I wore the device. It felt like needles traveling from my neck down my entire arm. I thought it was a pinched nerve in my neck but chiropractic visits later, no relief. My hands began to tingle & go numb when using my Iphone & Mac computer. With Mac on my lap, my thighs would get constant tingling, numbing static. I searched Fitbit & many got tingling as well & few got burns. The company claimed static shock but this wasn't one shock. I stopped wearing the Fitbit device but I still get the static tingling & numbness when using my computer or iPhone. I even get pain with my home remote control now! Possible solutions that I've read were "touch screen gloves" and a "passive stylist". I will try those items & report back. If anyone else has a better solution, please let me know. And I too, think it's bad for our nervous systems.

Due to graphene in our body the blue tooth from phones is causing this sensation. It's not carpel tunnel nonsense.

I don't know much about microwaves or leaking electricity, but I too have been sensitive to electricity most of my life. I too have tingling pain like a low voltage shock when I hold my electronic devices. Many years ago starting with ipod touch, I noticed when they are new, I put on a clear case and in a year or two, the case becomes brown and the corners turn black. Some may say that it is oxidation, but I have a high suspicion that it is being slowly cooked especially in the corners. Many phones throughout the last 8 years have done the same thing, where clear cases turn brown, and corners burnt black. I also notice that my finger tips when they are at the corners of the phone feel more burning sensations, and more recently on phones that are mag or Qi charge capable, I get the same painful feeling on the back of the phones. I really hope someone would start researching this. Also, my hands feel more rigid than before, similar to meat when it is bring cooked. I really wish technology and medical science would merge to research this kind of stuff, so many of us feeling the same thing would learn more about what these electronics are doing to our bodies before too late.

Sorry, this is not an answer, but an explanation that I feel something similar.

Since very young I have been able to feel the electricity. As a teenager I was learning to use electric typewriters (yes, I am that old), and the sensations in my arms where uncomfortable; in fact, touching the typewriter I could say if it was turned on or not. I can sense if a battery is charged or not by touching both poles with one hand. For me it is very uncomfortable to use any type of headphones. I prefer to answer the cellphone in speakers, so I don't need to put it on my ears... the sensations in my head and my hands are borderline painful.

I don't think we feel the electricity, per se, but we feel the charge that electricity left around. As many of you, I have been looking for medical or scientific explanations about those sensations. But so far the only they talk about are electricity shocks or static shocks; which isn't my case because it is not a shock, it is a continuing sensation as long as I hold the turned on electronic.

Before dismissing such symptoms as not possible please be aware that, yes, they are: references to some medical research:

Biology and Physics of mm wave and microwave radiation effects

Effect of low intensity magnetic field inhuman motor behavior

Effects of low frequency magnetic field on melatonin

Research is ongoing we do know there are effects, both negative and positive. As far as we know right now, for example the magnetic bracelets sold do nothing. A placebo effect can account for the reported efficacy by some users. Magnetic therapy devices on the other hand are in use and have been proven effective in certain situations. For example some (not all) such devices can decrease inflammation and are useful in treating in particular arthritis. There are guidelines for what is considered 'safe' exposure levels but it should be realized that we don't actually know what levels are safe at this time. Very knowledgeable people can be found to argue for and against current standards. Truth is, we aren't sure yet, but convenience and profits do affect the standard setting... Much more research is available, look for actual research, you will find plenty.

It's not the phone or iPad. they operate at very low voltages that don't harm you body. And it's in a case, there is no possibility of conduction, not even static electricity - they are designed to dissipate and conduct away triboelectric charge, to protect their sensitive electronics.

There is one scenario that could be true.

If you are holding is by it's metal/metallic case, and it is plugged into the wall, the wall-wart supply may have high ground leakage current, which is actually dangerous. If you put an AC voltmeter from the metallic case to the ground of a wall socket, and measure more that 60 volts, you've got a bad power supply. Take it to the dealer and show them. I'll bet they give you a free one immediately. The world electrical test labs (https://sfgov.org/oca/approved-testing-l...) supposedly "approved your device for safe use. If it failed in some way, the big company that bought that sub-standard design is probably liable. I'm guessing they will want to replace it for FREE.

Even though this is an old thread, I wanted to give my experiences. I am in my 50s and have been a tech person my whole life so I have used cell phones, touch screens, etc. much more than most people. I started realizing about a year ago, that when I was touching my Ipad screen, my fingers were burning. So I bought an apple pencil which helped a bit. Fast forward a year and the pain I get from my iphone screen, apple watch, apple macbook, etc. is unbearable. I am at the point where I cannot touch the screen anymore. It seems to be the worst when I am outside- I also live right by a cell tower and there are smart meters surrounding me. I have bought a trifield meter and see how much rf radiation, etc. these devices are giving off. Way too much.

At this point, when I touch the iphone (mini & 12 max), my fingers immediately start burning and tingling. Then the tingling travels up my arm and goes to my neck. It then travels down my spinal cord and causes severe aching in my lower back. This happens within a few minutes of touching the screen. Simply unthinkable!!! I was having terrible neck pain and I realized that it's all from the electric or RF coming off of these devices. Once I stopped using the touchscreens, the neck pain has went away. I am now in the process of having all devices wired instead of using wifi. I cannot even type of my laptop anymore because of the severe pain from the RF being emitted from my macbook. I have tested all of these devices with a trifield meter and they are all in the 'high' level of RF emissions so I am not making up this info.

There is currently a lawsuit against Apple (and Samsung). Plaintiffs claim that Apple devices are giving off more RF than is a allowed by that states recommendations.

These devices are poison. Even the corrupt WHO says that RF radiation (from cell phones) is most likely carcinogenic. Nuff said. Goodbye technology.
