Why won't my freezer temperature stay down?
I’ve recently been given a Samsung Fridge Freezer RS2555. There was a problem in cooling in the freezer side, although the fridge is fine. I live in Dominican Republic so no registered technicians available. I have used an electronic engineer and we have already replaced the main control board, ordered from the US, and then the fan but I am still having problems. When it is first switched on it goes down to the required temperature of -2 degrees, but almost immediately starts rising again and sticks at around 41. I am monitoring it now to see if it will go up and down. Meanwhile the fridge stays pretty constant at 38. Help, please.

I wanted to update you all on this problem. The technician fitted a new fan and the freezer side was then fine, but when I re-entered the food in both sides the whole thing went haywire, fridge and freezer. So finally, after a lot of trial and error but no more repairs, it seems to be resolved. I had put items on top of the cool zone drawer and I suspect that threw everything off, thermostat etc. It was even trying to make ice although that function was turned off. I had read through an online manual I managed to find but don’t recall it saying anything about not placing items on top of that drawer, so here’s a thing to check if anyone is having the same problem.
Thanks for trying to resolve this for me, Mayer.
