How to short circuit the power button on a 2013 MacBook Pro
I spilt tea on my mac book pro, but was able to continue to use it with an auxiliary keyboard. However, I unfortunately turned it off and now the power button does not operate, this is where I originally spilt the tea. Consequently, I have removed the optical drive from my mac as described by David Fear etc (so thanks to him and all those contributors) to access the connections on the power button, as described here MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 キーボードの交換
The twin cable leading to the power button is 0.4 mm thick and about 2 mm wide, the plastic covering appears to be transparent, the "wires" inside are black and I assume could be carbon, thus they could be what may be described as nano cables, the photo shows the underside of the power button, the twin cable and a ruler for size
Can anyone advise me how to short circuit these cables to start the computer, could I use crocodile clips and or a probe to break through the covering and contact what appears to be the carbon "wires"?

Note, although my mac is a 15 inch, the connections and components around the optical drive are the same as the 13 MacBook Pro, although the remainder of the logic board appears to be different.
EDIT: However, it may also be possible to use the 13 MacBook guide, given above, to remove the logic board on a 15" MacBook as the fixings look similar, you will just have to remove the additional fan in the 15" MacBook
