Having issues with using the touchscreen.

I bought a Nextbook NXA116QC164, android operating system used. When you use the keyboard it works relatively fine. A glitch here or there but nothing big. The problem I’m having with the device is when I disconnect the keyboard(or even when it is connected but I just want to use the touchscreen) that when I click on an app, or even the back button and open application screens it opens the app or presses the button on the opposite side of the screen. I have tried system updates but it says it is up to date, and did all updates in the play store(though I was sure none of them were the issue). That didn’t work. So I set the device back to factory settings, and the issue persisted. Even turning the screen doesn’t fix anything, the issue continues to persists no matter how the screen is rotated. I tried checking YouTube and google for possible fixes but the only thing I could find with the same issue was an android phone. They had typed something into the phone as though they were going to call someone which brought them to where to update the firmware and something else I can’t quite remember. But I can’t seem to find a path to that same area on this device.

When I check it for android updates it keeps telling me that it’s up to date. Running version 5.0. I’ve looked through other settings and can’t find any that seem like they would or could fix the issue I am having.
