Mechanical roller keeps getting stuck

I know it is specifically the mechanical roller that is the issue. It will push out the film once, but after that it doesn’t go down all the way and won’t push the next one out unless I open it and push the roller all the way down. I have tried opening up and cleaning the spring but that did not help. Is there anything else I can do?
