Screen is blinking and very hard to see the picture.

First things first. Check that you properly inserted the display cable. Even if you did check again. If in fact you did damage the Display Data cable then you should not power on your iMac any longer because you could be sending voltage to places it’s not suppossed to go. Luckily the guys here @ifixit.com can get you a replacement and show you how to do it too.

In my experience what you’ve shown in the pics looks more like a display issue instead of a cable but I’d first replace the cable! Happy fixing!

I fear you damaged the display when you took it off. This can happen if you don’t use the correct tools and/or force things. You need to use iMac Opening Wheel to slice through the adhesive and you need to use Plastic Cards (two sets) to help isolate the display from the frame and following this guide iMac Intel 27インチ EMC 2639 ディスプレイの交換

At this point you’ll need a new display unit [リンクされた製品が存在しない、もしくは無効: IF174-035]
