Where to find a replacement Reed Switch -- and is it worth it?
I crunched the reed switch on my iBook when replacing the display inverter.
Does anyone know of a replacement (and part no.)?

isn't the reed switch is part of the inverter cable assembly? p/n is 922-6134.
ifixit has that part here. -- or are you wanting to just replace the reed switch itself in your original cable? if so it might be difficult finding just the part for the switch...

Thanks for the reply, bac. I smashed that switch while replacing the inverter... I'd rather not admit my idiocy by buying a whole new one. :)
If the switch itself is replaceable I assume it would only be a dollar or two...?
if you can find the bare switch, yes I think it would be very inexpensive.
