Why can't I change my sound frequency?

My sound card overheated and got a short a year ago and so I've had to use Bluetooth ever since. Works fine on everything else. But I can't for the life of me get my wireless mic to work on gears of war 4 for my laptop. Ik it works because it did before. I checked it as default device in sound settings and tested the mic with other programs with success. Did some more digging and found I need to change the sound frequency to the same as the speaker but the option in the advanced tab is greyed out. Does anyone know of a fix?
