Xbox one will turn on with controller but not faceplate buttons

Earlier today I went to eject a disc from my Xbox and got a small static shock. The disc ejected and I didn’t think anything else of it. When I go to play this evening the power and eject buttons do not do anything. No sound, no light nothing. It turns on fine with the controller though. Also I can take it apart and wiggle the ribbon flex cable on the faceplate and get it to turn on and off and eject a disc but really have no control over which action I want to choose. Could it be the connector on the RF board is bad?
