Mid-2014 Retina Battery or logic board?
My mid-2014 Retina doesn’t detect the battery any longer. The machine runs fine from AC.
I took it to the Apple Store and they showed me a picture of corrosion around the battery/logic board connection. No one around here particularly remembers getting it wet, but that’s neither here nor there at this point as we’re way past warranty regardless.
My question is whether or not it’s likely that a new battery kit will take care of it, or is it likely that there’s logic board damage? Given that *everything* works except the battery I’m tempted to think a new battery will get it but I’m hoping someone with a little more experience repairing these glued together monsters might have an option.
Thanks!

Just to close the loop here - Apple was absolutely wrong. The logic board is fine, the keyboard is fine, and the trackpad is fine - this was 100% the battery. The kit I purchased saved this machine from the scrap heap!
