Chip replaced after screen repair phone not charging
Help..the chip was replaced but i am being told that the phone still wont charge..does this mean the phone is ruined?

Hi Tracey, you don’t give us much information so the answer will be a little speculative.
There are some components next to the battery connector that would cause exactly these symptoms. These components are on a line that communicates the charge state of the battery to the CPU and when they are missing or damaged, the CPU has no idea what’s going on and the charging stops. This can happen when they are accidentally pried off the board when un-seating the battery connector.
Unless the damage is severe, this should be repairable by an experienced micro-solderer.

sorry for the vague answer, yes its a component that triggers the signal to the CPU that i damaged whilst prying the battery and screen connector from the logic board, i was told the component is still in place but its slightly damaged, I took it to one shop they saw the problem but said it cant be fixed, which i did not accept, so i took it to another service centre they said it can.. so my question is, can it really be repaired?
Tracey, I told you in my answer that it is repairable unless the damage is extreme (to the logic board). Post a good quality picture and I'll have a better idea.

Just to get this right, the screen was replaced and it stopped charging and do you mean hydra was replaced or another chip

Its a chip close to the cable that connects the screen..
