I replaced the graphics card on my mid 2011 27” iMac, and had to remove the logic board. I got it all back together and I believe that I connected everything properly. I fired it up and all works fine, except that a fan continues to run. It sounds like the optical drive fan. Could I have missed a connection that modulates the fan?

You likely damaged one or both of the inductors near the fan connector

Dan is most likely correct: this kind of behavior is typical when the logic board is damaged in the process of replacing the graphics card. Do attempt a an SMC reset on the machine, might help, and check for available driver for the graphics board.

No, only the Graphics card. Honestly, I baked the old card. I works fine again. Only the fan issue now.
Pulling the logic board is when I've damaged them the first time I fixed this series. Take a magnifier and look it will be clear you damaged them.
