Screen Ghosting when screen clipped down.

So I am repairing an Iphone 5s, bought a new screen, connected the new screen, and everything works great, start from the top of the screen by putting the tabs under the frame clip the top of screen down and in place. But as soon as I click down the bottom of the screen into the frame I get ghosting. If I remove the screen from the frame, but leave the ribbon connects all attached, the touch works perfectly. Is is possible my frame is bend and it is pushing on something when the phone is closed? If so what would it be pushing up on that would cause this? Just lost as to why it works great before clipping the screen into the frame, thanks ya’ll.

There’s a lot of poor quality screens around for 5s nowadays, not sure if anybody still manufacturing them but the overall price for a 5s is so low that nobody wants to spend money on premium screens and the market matches demand. Also be careful about the housing, if it has been bumped a few times it might need some gentle rubber hammering to get it back into correct shape. You might as well lightly use sand paper on the screen edges to provide a flush sit.

I would try another screen. I’ve had screens for the 5, 5s and 5c in the past do this exact thing and basically it boils down to the screen having a fault in the ribbon cable. If the issue continues with another screen, then we may need to dig further into grounding issues. It’s always been my experience that it’s the screen.

The sceen's touch seems to be working on the original screen, it's just a cracked screen so I'd like to replace it. Also I'm not sure if its the ribbon cables sense the ribbon cables for the screen are at the top, and I have no issues clipping in the top half of the screen into the phone. Touch still works great, but it's as soon as I clip it in all the way. Or I'll get it in all the way and it works fine but If I put any kind of pressure on the bottom half of the screen the ghosting starts.

Ok, it may not be the ribbon cables in that case, but I would bet a new screen would fix your issue.
