Water temperature choices don't respond correcty.
Kenmore Elite HE3, Model # 110.45872 400. When I select “cold/cold” I still get warm water in the wash cycle. When I turn off the hot water supply line, the machine doesn’t fill with the full amount of water — and later I get an alarm and warning code telling me “insufficient water.” The cold rinse cycle seems fine. The machine was stored for 1 year and transported twice. The supply hoses and screens are clear; water pressure to the faucets is correct. Is there a simple fix for this (machine works perfectly otherwise)? Not sure I’m capable to replace the circuit board. Thanks.

Hi @kliz ,
What is the model number of the washing machine?
Have you checked that the cold water tap is on?
Turn off the taps and then disconnect the hoses from the machine (one at a time) and then check the water flow from the end of the hose into a bucket to ensure that the hoses are OK and that the filters at the machine end of the hoses are clear and not blocked with sludge
If the hoses are OK try reversing the hose connection from the taps to the machine, i.e. hot hose to machine cold inlet and vice versa and check what happens when you select a cold wash and a hot wash. Does the hot wash work but with cold water and does the cold work but with hot water. You may be able to "feel" the water running through the hose as the machine fills, if it does that is.
There may be a problem with the water inlet solenoids and not the control board.
You'll have to determine whether it is the hot or the cold water inlet solenoid is the problem (if both then maybe the control board is the problem)

jayeff — thanks for your suggestions. I had already determined the hoses & screens were clean. Not sure why it would help to switch the hoses around — it is clear that cold water comes in the cold line and hot water comes in the hot line. Temperatures just don’t agree with the setting of cold/cold.
