Sony Walkman WM-F10 motor not working?

Hey everyone, I don’t see my specific Walkman, the wm-f10, on this site but I was wondering if anyone might know the exact problem my Walkman is having or what steps I can make to repairing it or finding someone who can. It was my fault I’m sure because I forgot to press stop in between fast forwarding and rewinding the tape; As it is not an issue with the battery or the belt I believe it might be the motor? The radio works, but when I press play nothing spins. I already opened the back in hopes it was just a snapped or melted band but the band was in tact and fine. Any tips on what steps I might be able to take is greatly appreciated if there are any.
