My phone is discharging while off?

I few days ago noticed my phone starting having poor antenna reception, but the battery life was ok. Then, I noticed the on the bottom left corner of the phone, left of a home button, it I started getting really hot. So the battery drain very fast, 2 hrs. But it even get hotter while completely smiths off, draining the battery from 60% to 0 in about 3 hrs.

My simple guest while be the battery, but I believe it may be the module that control the battery charge that has a short cut or the antenna that is failing.

Hi. The left side I refere to , it is the left side of the escreen or right side once opened from its back view. Where the speaker is.

Let’s check the battery health if you haven’t already. If the phone does not have iOS 12 or higher installed make sure you update the phone via phone settings > software update, 3UTools on computer (Windows application from 3u.com) or via iTunes on computer.

Then you can check battery health via Settings > Battery > Battery health or under 3UTools or CoconutBattery (on MacOS).

Heating up on bottom left corner is where the taptic engine (responsible for vibration feedback from home button + notifications), where the left main microphone is and the barometric sensor (pressure sensor). If microphone works fine during calls and you can feel feedback from taptic engine module then I would say either it needs a replacement battery or it actually could have liquid damage inside the phone which you’ll need to open the phone up to check.

iOS 12.1.2 and battery Battery Health 86%. Liquid inside is impossible, it has not been exposed at all.

The more frecuente syntoms is No Service, bad signal connection.

Can I run any test to find out where is the problem?

Why is still draining the battery while the phone complete switch off?

The side heating is the right side, opposite to the battery from its back view.
