Will not turn on or show any indication of charging. No on screen battery indication. No battery led. I removed the the body of the case and it charged and only indicator was the led. When I put the case on it would not charge or turn on. Do I need to replace the charging port board and battery or something else. Thanks

There are so many things it could be.
Was your phone working fine before? Any signs of problems before?
It could be the battery hypothetically…but if you haven’t noticed issues with it,probably not.
It it could be a component issue,like the power ic chip(power control).
you may be able to hook it up to a recovery program on the computer. If it’s a software issue,maybe it would allow recovery.
Now,did the phone die first,or was the battery low?
Have you tried a different wall plug and usb?
have you taken the battery out and blown on the pins and reinsert it?
IF NOT,take the battery out,and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Release,then repeat. This drains any residual power in the circuit. Trust me,this works if that’s what the problem is.
batteries plus bulbs checks batteries for free. Sometimes phone repair shops in general will test batteries free of charge.

It doesn't work, I've tried the 123 , hold the power button 1,2,3 minutes. No help.
Is the ic control on the main board or on the the power connector board?
I've tried about 15 different combinations of of holding down buttons, no response
From YouTube videos,it is on the logic board itself. Usually it’s not on the docking board. This requires a new part and heat gun.
Will you tell me if anything weird was going on with it before this happened? Was the battery dead?
I know you said you tried button combinations,but have you taken the battery out? I assume so but want to be sure...
If the battery is bad,it shouldn’t power on...since the battery completes the circuit. So if the battery is completely bad,it could be why... generally the battery is responsive for booting the phone,then if it’s plugged in,the charger will power both the phone and charge the battery.

This is going to sound strange but it worked great for me ! Take the baterry out , place the phone in a zip lock bag and put it in your freezer for 20 minutes , then pull it out and install the battery right away and it should power on ! I read about this about a year ago , first I thought it was some kind of joke but it's not , it works … let me know if this works for you !
