Phone drains all batteries put onto it even after calibration

As the title says.

Have replaced the phone’s battery thrice. Have calibrated all of them and have fully reset the phone via its option in the settings.

Still, this son of a ##&&%’s draining original batteries at 90% their original charge like they’re at 20%. There isn’t even any abnormal heat off of it. I don’t know what else to do.

Rapid discharge can be caused by a faulty Tristar IC. Otherwise, you may have a modular component that is drawing excess current. The phone won’t normally get abnormally warm/hot even if it is.

If you turn brightness on at full, set the Auto-Lock to never, close all the apps but leave the radios on, the phone should last around 4-5 hours. If you’re not getting that, then consider using only the screen and battery and test it that way. That eliminates most of the modular components. Then try it with a known good screen if it stills drains quickly. In the end, you will be left with only the logic board as the culprit.

My friend, thank you very much for taking the time to answer both my problems. As a battery test, I usually turn bluetooth, wi-fi, brightness to max, and set the phone recording video with the flashlight on to discharge it as quickly as possible. While proper batteries last about an hour and forty or so, this phone makes it last half hour. Will attempt the test you have suggested and I'll get back here then.

Edit: Well, actually, doing the test I mentioned lasts the battery 1:29, which is actually not bad and may already tell something on its own. The value I mentioned before was based on a short test I made reliant on the percentage it lost per minute as opposed to letting it go 100 to 0. It'll take its time, but I'll run the above mentioned tests.

The actual test matters less than running it consistently :>). When I have a chance, I run batteries against a dummy load with data capture & graphing capabilities. That tells me everything I need to know.
