The iFix it store sells a “Test Cable for Display” for the S8 phone
Galaxy S8/S8+ Test Cable for Display Assembly
I’m hoping to be able to use this on the S9. It seems to work, but I have some trouble some times.
Can anyone say if using the S8 cable for the S9 phone is completely nuts? or can you say that there should be no difference?

I believe the display cable connectors are different so unfortunately that cable won't work.

thanks, that is what I fear, even though I get it to work, it shows some strange behavior. Do you know how to identify the connector in order to buy one from a generic electronics store?
@titoalfaro What exactly is wrong with your S9?
@ajcooke01 oh, nothing. I make/hack-together my own novel displays, and I have been using the flexible screens of the edge galaxy phones so for my testing I use the cable. But I was not able to find a cable for the S9 only the S8. manually counting the pins, it looks like the connectors would work, but I was wondering if there was anything deeper going on that I didn't know.
