My HTC has been working fine till i switched phone companies. Now, not only does it drain battery faster than any cable I’ve tried, the battery still drains faster than it charges even when turned off. I had my phone on the charger turned off for two days now and it only had enough energy to power on. It stayed at 27% and has never gotten back to 100 in months. Is there a way i can fix it or should i just find another phone?

As a technical advise i would like to mention these steps.I do not know whether you could perform the steps alone but read.
First try hard restting the device
If the problem still the same root the device and flash a custom kernel using flashify APK or another method .

Have you tried calibrating the battery? Or changing the battery? That could be a malware or some type of issue like that, you can try replacing the battery, trying a less powerful charger and completely reboot and restore the phone.

phone has been rebooted twice, cheaper to buy new phone than new battery. haven't had the battery calibrated
