How can 2011 Sierra user update to High Sierra now that Mojave is out?

Hi All!

I should know the answer to this but apparently I don’t: I’ve shipped a lot of 2011 Pros to customers with Sierra, and until very recently they’ve been able to web update to High Sierra. 2011 can’t take Mojave, so now that Mojave is available on the App store, and High Sierra has apparently been removed, these users are stuck on Sierra, and obviously it rejects them when they try Mojave.

Is there something I’m missing, and is there an ability for these 2011 Sierra users to upgrade to High Sierra? These are remote users and I don’t have access to their laptops…I’m installing High Sierra on all 2011 now, but this handful of users has been caught in the crossfire between Apple’s OS switch the last several weeks.

The fact that 2010-2011 laptops are now not current is going to be fairly brutal….

Apple wants it to be brutal so you will be forced to go buy a new machine.

If your customers are running MS Office 11 with Sierra, be prepared to open your wallet again.

If you must, here’s where to get High Sierra, but really think about what you are gaining with this upgrade.

Watch your self here! High Sierra automagically upgrades boot drive SSD to APFS unless you modify the installer.
