Water damage, lines on screen

Hey,

I didn’t have the option, but it’s a Xiaomi mi A1

My phone fell into water after getting shocked on a hard surface first. And I had multiple problems that got fixed after putting isopropyl alcool on all the insides and having left it to dry ( I may have missed some patches under EMI's because I couldn't remove them )

And now I have lines that change colors on my screen ( black white grey and red but mostly white )

How can I know if it's my screen, the graphics card, or something else ?

Everything else works, so I have ordered a new LCD screen but would like to know if I should keep my hopes up. What happens when the GPU is damaged ? ( the glass on the screen isn't damaged so I think the damage is from water but is it only the LCD ? )
