Will an iPhone 6 Plus FCAM Flex also work on iPhone 6?

I bought a replacement part for my iphone 6 FCAM Flex but instead received what I think is for 6 Plus since the cable was longer and is bent farther away from the fcam board socket. When I try to place it, board heats up and does not continue to boot up. The tech person who sold me the cable said my logic board is shorted but I find it suspicious. Before I return the flex cable I want to know will the iphone 6 still open with an iphone 6 PLUS FCAM flex, could it be faulty, or is the board really damaged like he said?

I haven’t tried to connect a 6 Plus camera on a 6 logic board but I can confirm that the two have identical connectors, have identical pinouts and share the same specs. In theory, the flexes should work, minus the fact that they are shaped differently.

When you put in the original camera, do you get the same heating effect on the board?

I think in this case the seller should replace the unit and give you what you ordered. He may be correct in that you have a board problem but it’s hard to properly troubleshoot when you have so many variables.

Thanks for your reply. The board does heat up a bit even with the original flex before it tore apart but it doesn't create white lines and make the screen flicker like when I connect the 6Plus fcam flex while the phone is on
