Insects between glass and display

A tiny insect managed to crawl between the glass and display of my iMac 5k screen. I tried a vacuum cleaner on the air vents but it doesn’t come out. I Rather not try a canned air spray that might add more stuff into my mac. Off course this happened after the warranty ran out. Any tips on this?

The insect is the same i've seen a lot on my outside window frame this summer. So it must have gotten in somehow. Since i'm out of warranty, i have to be sure the glass supposed to be glued 100% airtight all around to the screen to make a case with apple support.

It's fully sealed all the way around with the gasket tape which is porous so air can move through (to adjust to air pressure).

You'll need a new screen if you did this on your own.

Oh Boy!

Apple sealed the cover glass to the LCD so technically there is no way the insect could get in at your home or office.

What likely has happened is the foam tape the Apple used was left exposed and an insect laid eggs into it. So now the moist air has woken the insect from its hibernation! Apple has been hit a few times with this.

I would call Apple to make an appointment for them to replace the display under a warranty exception as you could prove there is no way for this little guy could get in while the system was in your possession.
