How to replace the exhaust valve on a Scott's 17 horsepower riding mow
My mower has not been starting narrowed it down to the valves open the valve cover in the exhaust valve had a few pieces fall off I will include a picture but the exhaust valve will not open or close at all how do I replace it I am a little mechanical inclined with the right direction I can do it all help is greatly appreciated
Joseph Gary what is the exact model of your mower? Scott's should be a John Deere...?????
Your pictures shows a bit dark, but it looks like you do not have the retainer, or the valve spring. Also, I do not see a rocker arm? We need to see more of this and a bit better lighting will help.
