Wet damage but dc power light and battery status green.
Hello, so my daugther decided to "clean my laptop" and pour water while she was watching cartoons in it. I was at work, minutes later my daughter complained to my wife that the computer wasnt working. :) So, I have remove most of the components. Removed battery as it was old anyway and dont holding charge, remove logic board, memory, hard disk, everything except: the dc little board and keyboard and track pad. All the components I removed, put them to dry with rice. Once dried, I took them out I cleaned thm with fast drying contact cleaner to remove any corrotion. wait for a couple of hours and I installed everythihng back again. Now, the green led on the dc cable comes green( so I guess that the dc board is working?) the battery status is coming green but blinks and then go off as I am testing without battery, but the fan doesnt come on when I tried to start the laptop. The hard drive SSD is working as I pluged it to another laptop with an usb adapter and it came on and was able to see content (phew!) the memory mayb survived as i didnt see any water nearby when I first took it apart. So I am guessing that its the logic board that is just gone. Is there anything other test I could do ? suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Geez, I really do not know but it might be the logic board. Take it into an Apple Store, because it is probably an extensive repair ahead. I am surprised no one has answered this yet, so probably just take it into an Apple Store. Sorry about that. :/

@ajcooke01 Apple will not work on it as it is over 6 years old. They will call it a Legacy Machine. All they will try to do is sell you a new one.

@mayer You’re right, I thought it was a 2016 or 2018 MacBook, it helps to read item descriptions thoroughly. Thanks for the correction.
