single sim card holder into doual sim phone

so i got my s8+ doual sim card phone, and i droped it one the ground and somehow lost my sim card holder. so i got new one, but it was from s8 single sim card phone.

the problem is that my phone dosnt recognize sim card now. could it be wrong sim card holder or my phone got damaged from the fall?
