On the Singer Stylist sewing machine there are two timing marks at the top of the needle bar. What is the reference point to set the top or bottom marks with the lowest dead point ? needle timing and hook timing

The top mark on the needle bar should align with the lower edge of the bottom needle bar support bush when the needle is at its lowest position.
The bottom mark is used to set the hook point to needle eye timing.
