1 Unit emits a loud crackling noise but speakers don't work.
A really freaky crackling noise comes out of my game boy when it loads games, and the speakers haven't worked for years! Does anyone know what causes this? I don't use the gb now because of this.
DId you try replacing the speakers?

The speakers don't seem to be the issue... They don't function at all, so no noise should be coming out of them. Idk what it is, but there's something that's emitting a buzzing noise. Freaky lol

Try opening it and see if a cord that connects to it is damaged
