Hi @iammldqueen ,

If it only happens when the brakes are applied, get the brakes checked. It may be that one is "grabbing" when being applied.

Does your steering wheel shudder when this happens? If it does it may be one of the front brakes that is the problem.

@iammldqueen check your tires for wear and have your tires rotated and balanced.

Update (02/18/2018)

@iammldqueen " you mentioned that "I know its not the breaks they have recently been changed" if it is just the pads that got changed then you'll have to check the rotor and calipers. Hopefully whoever fixed your brakes did that. Go with the tires first.

I have brand new tires less than 3 months ago

Although the tires are new, it could happen still. Also, most tire centers recommend revisiting them within a few weeks to make sure the bolts are properly tightened. I would also still follow @oldturkey03 suggestion along with the alignment.

1. Do wheel balancing.

2. If that didn't help - check the calliper pins, make sure they are not bent (even slight bent will cause a problem).

I had a case when some stupid mechanic over-tightened them up to bending them. I had uneven break pads wear on rear, that also was partially locking disk breaks, wearing them off, increased petrol consumption, annoying sound, overheating...etc. In case of front wheels you'll get vibration. Considering you've changed break pads recently - this might be the exact problem.

3. If that doesn't help - your break disks overheated at some point and if they are not so flat anymore - one more reason for vibration.

Process of elimination, did you have the issue before brake work? If no AND you haven't warped your front rotors due to hard braking, take it back to mechanic who did work. If rotors are new, could be a defective rotor. So, it's really dependent on extent of work and how thorough it was done.

if youve had the brakes recently changed, bring it back to who did them for you.

if they didnt set the new rotors and pads your rotors could be warped. but like i said before if you took it to a store \ shop to do it and this is a result of that bring the car back to them. or call them and ask if theres anything that could be done.

Tire misalignment, and or just bad tires. Check tire pressure and tire threads.
