I bought a screen for my SE and after i was done replacing and switching the screen the whole screen is black but I can still touch and turn it off manually with slide to power off I just can't see it or anything else on the screen.

if you didnt disconnect the battery when replacing it chances are you have blown the backlight filter

And if i did what can i do about that
you need to take it to someone that does that kind of repair, it could also be a faulty backlight on the lcd, if you still have the old screen and backlight was working on it, then connect it to see if backlight is working
Where is the Blacklight located?
the backlight is on the lcd, the filter is on the logic board
im having the same problem, did you find a soloution in the end?

When the repair was carried out, did you disconnect the battery. If you did not, it is likely you have fried the device. I would try fitting a new test screen, and if that does not fix the issue then it is a board problem.

yes the battery was connected
i’ve tried new and old screen and neither work, i can hear the notifactions but just no display
