Should I change my hard drive back to original?
Hi all,
I self-upgraded my Macbook's SSD using this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5osw0UB...
Tomorrow I'm taking my laptop to have Apple themselves replace the battery (free replacement) due to it having worn out. From what I can tell, they are going to replace the bottom half of the enclosure due to the battery being soldering to it.
Should I put the original hard drive back in temporarily to avoid them asking questions/getting narky/saying I've voided my qualification for a free battery replacement?
Cheers,
Andy

Glued in yes, not soldered in!
Yes! I would swap the drive out as you don't want to get it lost in the shuffle! Apple has been known to swap the complete system out and you would get the original SSD the system came with your new larger SSD lost.
Now the bummer! You'll need to wait quite awhile! Apple told me the other day the backlog is growing! It's getting up to six weeks! And these are for the free upgrades not the paid for ones (ones out side of the warranty period or don't qualify).
