Samsung LE32S71B TV Led continuously keeps blinking.
Nederlands antwoorden mag ook, maar ik wou het veralgemenen en schreef het in het engels.
Hello everyone, I recently got a TV from a friend wich he wanted to throw away because it had a malfunction.
Because I'm not really one of the "throw it away" type of men, I decided to try and give it a second life. Now I've ran into a problem, I noticed that the Red Power Light continuously keeps blinking, I've started reading about it alot and I noticed people talk about broken capacitors, I opened the backside of the TV and went to take a close look to each individual capacitors on the first sight there is nothing wrong with them I don't see any damaged capacitors nor blown up/leakening. Any suggestions what it might be?

Could still be a capacitor do you have an ESR meter or capacitance setting on a multi meter? Also when the red power led starts blinking does it follow a pattern?

Hello, I don't have those sorry. And not really a pattern, Just on off on off on off never stops its like a second on and then goes a second off again.

If you have no way of testing the caps then you're very limited in what you can achieve. You could take a shot and replace the power board and hope that works, You could invest in both of those things that I said mentioned and a soldering iron then learn how to fix things like this. Then you could do tv repair as a hobby for friends/family or to make some extra money on the side.

I’m going to see if someone around me has a multimeter I can lend for a short period, then check the capacitors, if the problem is not in the capacitors any idea what else I need to check?

Yes, You will need to check you are getting the right volts for standby etc
