Why is my power brick orange

Ok, so a year ago, my two year old daughter poured juice in to my Xbox one.

It has remained out of action for over a year now. I have stripped it down and cleaned it. However I try to turn it on, it comes on for a split second and that's it, (brick turns white for that split second to. I have tried holding down the power button for ten seconds, holding both the eject and sync button down. Unplugging. But still nothing, as soon as I plug the Xbox in, before even trying to turn it on, the brick goes orange. I assume it's because it detects a power surge. Is there anything else I can do before sending it off for repair?
