First its always best to use new tape when you install glass. if you use the old adhesive you need to take care that it doesnt twist or double over . Odds are that that is whats happened . I personally use3m double sided tape 3mil. I know its not the brand of choice for many but its what i find works for me. You can also get precut stickers for your particular phone or tablet . check on amazon or ebay. Hope this helps
